Your Ubuntu version is EOL on the desktop. Can you still reproduce this
with a supported Ubuntu version? Thank you!

Status in “acpi-support” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Didn't work in Edgy. Was hoping it would be fixed in Gutsy. But same
  behaviour.

  After sleep and resume, I get a black screen and it's unresponsive.

  Please let me know what info you need about my machine and I will
  provide it.
