Title:
  Installer proceeds without prompt

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
There is some issue with the 12.10 installer. When it offers the
install options it seems that under some conditions the installer
proceeds automatically (with no prompt at all) if the custom partition
  scheme is choosen.

I am absolutely sure I was not prompted nor I had chosen any
particular scheme and I have installed countless times Ubuntu before
so I am familiar with the installer. I would like to offer more
details on how to replicate the issue but I don't feel like bricking
all computers in my house. All I can say is that under some conditions
the installer proceeds automatically to overwrite the windows
partition with the ensuing loss of data. There seem to be other
similar reports and all of them indicate that they were trying to
select some partitioning scheme when the installer just decided it was
fine to proceed without any warning at all.

  Here is one report:
  http://askubuntu.com/questions/206639/12-10-install-overwrote-my-windows-partition

  Another one here:
  http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=12365653

This is a _very_ annoying bug, it esentially wipes out partitions with
no input from the user. Let me know if there is something else I can
  detail further.
