Hi,
thanks for investigating! The downloaded iso of 12.10 was ok, but I found that the hard disk (ssd) had disk errors and file system errors. I could fix these (and backed up data).
I assume that was the reason for the broken packages.

Bug description:
  After the installation has finished (seemingly successfully), ubiquity
  asked whether to restart now or continue testing the live system.
  After choosing to continue testing, the dialog froze and ubiquity
  crashed.
