Hi Brian,

Thank you for looking into my upgrade problem. This surprises me as no
applications rather than server stuff was running and the box has 4GB of
RAM.

Anyway, after restarting I ran apt-get -f install, apt-get update and
apt-get upgrade followed by the update-manager (telling me multiple
times that partial upgrades are not possible) and several reboots. I am
on successfully on 12.04 now.

Thanks again!

Best regards
Karl

Title:
Upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04 LTS failed

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
During upgrade to 12.04 LTS, I got the error message 100 and was
requested to post this error to Launchpad.

My system is an Acer Aspire Revo R3700 Nettop. Ubuntu 11.10 was
  running without problems.

I tried a partial upgrade but get the message that updating from
"precise" to "oneiric" is not supported by the update manager.

Thanks for any help to upgrade Ubuntu.

  Best
  Karl
