** Attachment added: "syslog from installation attempt"
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/966991/+attachment/2953929/+files/syslog
** Description changed:
The amd64+mac Alternate installation CD detects the wireless interface
but is unable to use it to get an IP address via DHCP.
http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/210/builds/14347/testcases
+ http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/210/builds/14347/downloads
The PowerPC alternate CD from the same date detects the wireless network
and is able to use it. The installation process for AMD64+mac should be
able to detect and use the wireless just like the PPC version does.
