This is a matter of opinion, and I rather suspect that if we make this
change then a different set of people will object to the passive voice.
We probably can't win.

Title:
  Reword "restart computer" text

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

At the end of the Ubuntu 9.10 installation, the following text appears on the screen:
"You need to restart the computer."

  It should be changed to:
"The computer needs to be restarted."

Passive voice is considered much more polite. Furthermore, it does not
necessarily have to be the person reading the text who must perform
  the restart operation.
