Same problem is present in the Kubuntu-Alternate image:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily/20120305/precise-alternate-powerpc.iso

But not the Kubuntu Live Desktop.

Bug description:
  Downloaded the install CD 
  http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily/20120304/precise-alternate-powerpc.iso

  Verified MD5 sum.

  Burned successfully to CD, verified

  Boots to yaboot but no further.  Must enter "install" manually, but it
  still does not boot.

  "if in doubt, just press Enter, and if that 
  doesn't work, type 'install video=ofonly'
