The packaging process of the EC2 AMIs for 12.04 seems to be containing
errors, as /etc is group-writeable, and two files (hostname, hosts) have
bad ownership and insecure permissions.
This does not occur on a regular -server installation, but can be
observed on (at least) AMI ami-7b152c0f (eu-west-1).
