Your report is in a good state, but I need one more clarification.

Have you  runned an installation procedure during the steps you have
written above in addition? Or do you have just a ready persistent usb
device and you have only done the steps above with any other doing?

  kernel freeze while try to watch online video with other apps open

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  1) Lubuntu 12.10 Alpha3 i386 (Live USB stick persistent)
  2) ubiquity 2.11.18
  3) I expected to finish watching the video and other task I had started.
  4) I was moving the mouse to adjust the panel volume while trying to watch a video online when the computer locked up ending user input.
