Could the people reporting that they see this *with* a swap partition
please file a separate bug and attach logs? Even if they happen to have
similar symptoms, the cause of that problem is not going to be the same
as the cause of this problem - we'll need to diagnose it separately.

Title:
installation failed in user-setup-encrypted-swap with encrypted home
and no swap: cannot stat `/etc/crypttab' : No such file or directory

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Xubuntu 12.4 LTS. I can`t create a encrypted home directory from the beginning of install. I get: ubi-usersetup failed with exit code 1.
This is upon fresh install from USB, I also try to install from CD Xubuntu 12.04 LTS AMD64, same thing in both cases.
  My hardware is: AMD64
This is the error that I get in the syslog:

Apr 29 13:40:32 xubuntu kernel: [372.247596] Intel AES-NI instructions are not detected.
Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: INFO: You do not currently have any swap space defined.
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity:
Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: You can create a swap file by doing:
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: $ sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile count=8231136
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: $ sudo mkswap /swapfile
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: $ sudo swapon /swapfile
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity:
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: And then re-run /usr/bin/ecryptfs-setup-swap
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity:
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: /usr/share/ubiquity/user-setup-encrypted-swap: 60: /usr/share/ubiquity/user-setup-encrypted-swap: cannot open /etc/crypttab: No such file
Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: cp:
Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: cannot stat `/etc/crypttab'
Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity: : No such file or directory
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity:
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity[5128]: debconffilter_done: ubi-usersetup (current: ubi-usersetup)
  Apr 29 13:40:33 xubuntu ubiquity[5128]: dbfilter_handle_status: ('ubi-usersetup', 1)

P.S. I don`t need a swap file, I got 5.GB RAM and the previous version
of Xubuntu has worked fine without swap.
