Status in “software-properties” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Enabling the ddebs repository is currently a bit too hard for casual
  debuggers to be interested in helping out. Perhaps there could be an
  option to add-apt-repository to add the repo and include the key to
  the apt keyring.
