Title:
The installer crashes during copying files
Status in The Linux Mint Distribution:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I have tried to install linux mint 10 atleast 5-6 times but the installer crashes during copying files. It shows the following error message:
[Errno 5] Input/Output Error
Loop mounted file systems already present
The selected partition (partition of /var/lib/partman/devixes/=dev=sda) already contains the following file system images: /linux mint/disks/root.disk
I am installing by mounting the iso image to virtual drive using daemon tools. As soon as the install inside windows is complete, I dismount it from the virtual drive and then restart my PC to complete the installation process. I can't find where the /var/log/syslog & /var/log/partman file is. Can you help me without it?
