9.04 reached end of life some time ago and is no longer supported. Are
you still having this problem on a recent release?

Title:
Installation does not work with two drives

Status in “parted” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: parted

  I have 3 computers each with 2 drives. They are either 2 x SATA or 2 x
  PATA.

I installed 9.04 to one computer using one drive as / and the other as
  /home with no problem

Gparted in 9.04 install saw both drives correctly but when I try to
install 9.10 from the live CD, only one drive is seen. I am told I
have no operating system installed if the seen drive is the one I have
set to be /home. There is no drop down to show the second drive.

This computer is Asus P5N73-AM Motherboard, Dual core Intel processor
and 2GB RAM. Nvidia graphics. Gparted in the live version seems fine.

I have tried on another similar computer and also an older Computer
with PATA drives. The same result each time.

Using two drives used to be a recommended set up and I have not seen
anything saying this is now not allowed.
