[Bug 1087409] [NEW] *buntu daily's freeze when install mp3 codec is selected

Public bug reported:

While running both the kubuntu AMD64 and xubuntu i686 daily builds i
found that the installer would freeze if you had selected "install these
codecs" then pressed next. since it affects these two flavours it should
affect all.
