you can close this bug there are no error messages i could find and i'm
no longer experiencing this bug, i changed the theme and it's ok now

Title:
  plymouth animation doesn't alwas start

Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When i boot into linux (using GRUB) i get one of 3 results:
   a) my animation works fine
  b) the animaition semi works
  c) black screen
  then everything is to normal i get the login screen and all.

  at the moment im using the stargate screen but it happened with two
  others i used.
