Title:
  grub2 does not detect Windows 7

Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

  grub-common is version 1.97~beta4-1ubuntu3.
  os-prober is version 1.35.

  Yesterday, I went through the following steps:
  * Delete all partitions from the hard drive.
  * Install 64-bit Windows 7 at the beginning of the free space.
  * Boot into Windows 7 and update it.
  * Install 64-bit Ubuntu 9.10 in the remaining free space.
  * Update Ubuntu 9.10.
  * Comment the "GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT" line in /etc/default/grub.
  * Run "sudo update-grub".
  * Reboot.

  Now Windows 7 does not show up in my boot menu.
