Public bug reported:

when updating to the new upgrade things did no go quite so well, had a few issues and this is one of them.
i am just forwarding this on, hoping for a fix.
i am using 11.04 currently trying to upgrade to 11.10.
computer does not install new packages, i am not a guru with this o/s wanting to learn, i hope to upgrade.
