  Usplash crashes, then cannot send problem report

Status in “klibc” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Usplash only works for the first 10 seconds or to of boot, while my
  total boot time is 0:47. See attached bootchart. When I enter Gnome, I
  get a "crash detected" message, but cannot send a report since the
  problem, apparently "is in my BIOS" and "cannot be influenced by" my
  operating system.

  Currently running Intrepid Ibex and Usplash 0.5.23, but I had the same
  problem in Hardy.
