can you try appending "break=top" to you pxelinux.cfg/default file?

The break should give you a shell in the initrd from which you should be
able to do some more debugging.

You may also want to remove quiet and splash from it to get more output.

Title:
boot fails after Loading initrd.img ...

Status in “ltsp” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hello!

on ubuntu-10.04, PXE-boot after the message "Loading initrd.img .......... ready." fails. The LTSP-Client hangs
  without any errors.
I ordered some Atom emachine-ez1600 PCs with realtek r8168B (ID 10ec:8168) onboard. In the past on
  ubuntu-9.10 booting works.

I have tried different kernels and initrd.img and kernel with manually compiled realtek-driver
r8168-8.018.00.tar.bz2 and blacklisted r8169 as supposed in another thread,
  no success.

Also I tried different tftp-Servers (tftpd-hpa, atftpd), no success.

  please help!
I don't anymore know what to do.

  thanks and bye!
  rainer
