  [oneiric] failure to authenticate locks up update-manager

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  1. Open Update Manager, ideally when there are updates available for install
  2. Click Install Updates.
  3. A polkit password prompt will appear. Type in the wrong password and hit enter.
  4. update-manger freezes and this message shows is run from the terminal:

  aptdaemon.errors.NotAuthorizedError: org.freedesktop.PolicyKit.Error.NotAuthorized: ('system-bus-name', {'name':  ':1.54'}): org.debian.apt.install-or-remove-packages

  Alternatively, you can just hit cancel in step 3 as it will also lead
  to step 4.
