64bit with 32bit clients

I am about to set up a new server for our small school lab (12 clients -
maybe 15 in the future).   I am trying to decide whether to have 4gb or 8gb
RAM in the server. (The server has an AMD Phenom processor.) The clients are
all 32bit.

Should I install 64bit edubuntu and then build 32bit client images? Will
this make full use of 8gb RAM?

Or should I install 32bit edubuntu and only put 4gb ram in the server?

(The lab has been running on an old server with 2gb ram - finre until about
8 people logged on together! We have a good gigabit switch etc - so the rest
of the network is ready to go.)
