Edubuntu and Compaq Evo T30 Thin Clients

It sounds like they're not getting a DHCP response.  You might want to
check your cabling, check your dhcp server is running and that it's
listening on the interface which the client is linked to.  

You could run tcpdump on the server to see does the request get through and
does a response get sent:

	sudo tcpdump -i eth0 udp and port 67 or port 68

Also, take a look in /var/log/syslog to see does the dhcp server give some
error.
