Thin clients freeze hard when out of RAM

Could you by any chance post a quick howto on what you do to run the nightly builds?  I
am more than overloaded at this point with complaints and standard beginning of the year
requests, and any help you could provide would let me try this without loosing a few
hours do to research.  I think what you describe would fix my problems.
