Question about local device support

Hi,
I just read chapter 3 of the Edubuntu Gutsy handbook and understand quit
a bit how it (LTSP) works now. This was exacly the kind of info I was
looking for so thank you Scott.
I still do have one (very) important question that isn't answered in the
handbook.
How can I use local devices? Citrix and rdesktop both support
the use of local devices, but in order to use a device, it must be
(auto)mounted.
I just read another peace about ltspfs and do I understand correctly
that this could/should do the automounting on the thinclient?
Of course with a Linux Terminal Server you then also need ltspfsd to
make the mount available in the virtual desktop, but in my case I want
to connect to a Windows Terminal Server.
So if I can get the client to automount the local harddrive (if
present), CD's, DVD's and USB-sticks/drives, I don't need the ltspfsd
part, but can use the build-in rdesktop or Citrix functionaly to use the
local device instead. Am I right about this? And does the same goes for
sound? Or do I have to make scripts or udev rules for that myself?
Hope anyone find's the time to answer my question... Thanks very much in
advance!!
Sander
