We're trying to help here but you're not answering our questions. Please
go into grub, turn off splash and quiet, boot it and tell us where the boot
fails and with what error. Otherwise, you might as well just tell us
"computer says no!"[1].

Does it freeze with the gnome session still visible or does it partially
shut down and freeze?
Could you press <ctrl><alt><F1>, login and type "sudo halt". Then see if
you get any errors. Also, does anything appear in the logs?

I'd say that's probably the ltsp install process. It is quite slow but
Ubuntu doesn't install ltsp.
