oversized isos

Hi all,

I was looking at the current size status of the Edubuntu .isos since
it we aren't having a Tribe 6 today. Here's a summary:

server: 715MB (i386) 687MB (amd64)
server addon: 637MB (i386) 643MB (amd64)
desktop: 705MB (i386) 680MB (amd64)
DVD: 5.1GB (i386) 5.1GB (amd64)

and for the unofficial ports:

PPC: 734MB (server) 464MB (addon) 711MB (desktop)
SPARC: 617MB (server) 465MB (addon) 701MB (desktop)

So we are oversized on 4 out of 8 on official .isos and 3 out of 6 on
unoffical .isos.

Oliver, any plan? Obviously somethings bloated up i386 as Ubuntu's CDs
seem a bit bigger as well. The Server CD still has some lang packs but
the Desktop CD has already lost all the lang packs *and* tuxpaint.
Also, has there been any discussion about how to get the DVD smaller?
It needs to be 4.2GB to make it on a single DVD right? So that means
0.9GB needs to come off. I'd like to have working DVDs if possible for
the 7.10 release if possible.
