Hi John,

Thank you for your email. I also thank you in behalf of the Edubuntu
team for spearheading the distribution of Edubuntu CDs during LUG
Radio Live. I'm pretty sure it was well attended by the Ubuntu
community but I am not sure if we actually had a representative from
Edubuntu (apart from Mark himself).

This is great news indeed. I will add this news bit for the weekly
newsletter. We're pretty much interested on success stories of
educational institutions testing and deploying edubuntu as well. If
you were able to get some contacts, it would be great to know them as
well.

I heard of this exhibition from Robin Shepheard and Pete Savage, both
of them working at schools and they have looked into joining this
event and set up a booth. However, there are costs involved. If I
remember correctly, Robin has the details of joining the show.

I've also CC'ed Richard Weideman who recently joined Canonical as the
Programme Manager for for Edubuntu and Ubuntu. He recently worked for
HP in the field of Education so I think he can give a good strategy on
how to take this on. You may have some ideas as well so feel free to
give him an email about it.

We currently have documentation with regards to Edubuntu, but we will
have to collect them up and make some revisions to have a good flow of
info before tackling up self-publication like that in Lulu. Also, the
current Cookbook is undergoing a big content change (as well as a
title change). The writing community aim to have the updated handbook
finished by the time Edgy releases.

Hope this helps!

Best,

Jerome
