If you want a set of already installed edu-applications, then yes, go
ahead.
If you have more than 1 pc and want to include those applications or any
Ubuntu stuff but your 'other pc's' are old or not very powerful to run
GNOME and your big PC can work as a server, then go ahead, too.
If you dont care, about the other cases, then you can live happily
without Edubuntu.
Edubuntu = Ubuntu + LTSP + edu-applications ;)
