Edubuntu and 3c509 ethernet card

Hello,

I tried to connect my thin client to my Edubuntu-server and I have a 
problem. 
My thin client ethernet card is 3c509 and it starts to download pxe image 
on the server.

Everything goes fine until it shows a text on the screen like below

SIOCGIFINDEX: No such device
ipconfig: no devices to configure
.: 89: Can´t open /tmp/net-eth0.conf
[ 85.718294] Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
[ .85.718424] _ 

What should I do to be able to connect my thin client to the server??
