One of the many reasons why I always insist on alternative methods to
work on documenting, is that SVN or whatever the system we use on our
desktop stations, ONLY editing and having version controling via Web
systems is 100% free in terms of giving you the chance to work from
weherever you are (cyber cafe, house, someone else's pc, etc) anytime,
without the need of your HDD nor a special software, just a browser.

MoinMoin lets you do all that when we talk about
documenting/translating PLUS you may also sync with the server.

Actually, in Moin  project we now have our .PO files all wikied :)
