A Rosetta problem? Rosetta seems to have lost .desktop translations for Gaim, so Ubuntu now only has those .desktop translations that were available last Fall in the upstream .desktop file. -- Menu entry has lost its translation in at least Finnish https://launchpad.net/bugs/47669
