Hi,

This problem also exists with the gnome-keyboard shortcuts.

I performed the test by removing any sound control by selecting 'none' for sound
system, in /etc/pbbuttonsd.conf and did a sudo /etc/init.d/pbbuttonsd restart.
Therefore pbbuttonsd does not handle sound anymore.
[MODULE MIXER]
SoundSystem = none ; 'none', 'auto', 'OSS' or 'ALSA'

Then, to control sound using the sound-applet, I had to select the channels
'Master' and 'PC Speaker' together, and also enabled 'Auto Mute' and 'Head Phone
detection'. Sound control using the applet then works perfectly, as expected.

Then, I added keyboard shortcuts in "System -> Preferences -> Keyboard
Shortcuts'. The sound control works perfectly when i have my headphones plugged
in. Sound is not controlled when headphones are removed, though it should not
control the PC speaker sound.
