Thanks for considering this Martin!

The main way I use it is on Linux where CLI use is heavily used,
although I have also scripted bzr with perl scripts.  I usually
operate in root sub-directories, often deep, and, at the command line,
it's handy to be able to copy and paste file and directory names
without having to carefully copy just the relative part.

I also agree with you that a configuration variable affecting all tree
listings could be a very useful solution!
