No ;-)

Jelmer implemented named branches support in bzr core which roughly
target the same features as the bzr-colo plugin, but as he says, the
implementations are unrelated.

Some people use and rely on the bzr-colo plugin but the named branches
in core needs more testing.

I think for now, both are valid.
