Bazaar Explorer freezes - how to fix?

The local branch is bound to a remote branch via a mounted NFS volume (via
file:///), so your first guess about bazaar tickling NFS bugs did really
help me.
I now changed all bindings to use bzr+ssh:// instead of file:/// and
disabled the setting "Automatically refresh status report".
This really seems to resolve the problem as I had no freezes anymore within
the last days.
I`m not sure if the latter one "Automatically refresh status report"
also had some impact on the freezes so I will have to check that,
although I am not sure if this setting does make any difference at all when
using bzr+ssh:// ?
