I now have 2.3.0, and this still doesn't work:

  $ bzr log --long -v doc/misc/overrides.texi
   bzr: ERROR: Path unknown at end or start of revision range: doc/misc/overrides.texi

This file was definitely removed:

  $ bzr log --long -v -c103130
