Too much data being downloaded with sftp

Thank you, that did the trick.  Using bzr+ssh insteaad of sftp only took 9 megs to branch the repository instead of 430 megs.  I then ran bzr pack on the repository on the server and that got the branch data transfer down to 7 megs.

I would recommend updating the tutorails to show bzr+ssh instead of sftp, I just used sftp because that's what the tutorials showed, like on this page:

Hi Brent,

The short answer is if at all possible you should install bzr on the
server and use bzr+ssh instead; most of our performance work is now
focussed on that not sftp or ftp.
