Thanks to Robert's helpful (should-have-been-obvious) suggestion of
branching off a previous version of the vcs, I now have a configobj
backport in the beta ppa, which should unblock building 2.1.2 on
dapper, and then we can follow on to updates to other distribution
series.
It might also be nice to make a sub-ppa (see
https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA/Uploading) that keeps
tracking 2.1 after we make 2.2 stable, for people who want to keep
tracking that. I don't know if it's worth the effort to update all of
them, but we could at least keep them accessible.
