Revisiting the link, I just saw an exe. I think I am the first one to
download (no download count yet)! :-)
That was fast...
Here are my first impressions:
- Why Tools > Options dialog has no OK/Cancel buttons?
- I close Bazaar Explorer and restart it. Still no restoration of window
placement on screen... :-( Might be interesting too to have a run mode
without the Dos window.
- When I open a repository, I see a list of Unversioned files. I would
like to right-click on one and select "Add to ignore list" or something
similar. Likewise, a way to display the file/folder in the tree view
would be nice too. And, again, an option in this tree view to add a file
to .bzrignore would be interesting.
- When I click Add, I appreciate the new tree view of the added files.
- I opened a repository, D:/JavaFX, and I got a cryptic message: Not a
branch: "F:/JavaFX/".
I had to open a command line window and type bzr info to understand:
that's the "submit branch" (I changed the drive letter of an USB key).
If possible, a more informative message would be better.
- When I reopen BE, the toolbox/treeview are smaller than what I have
set before closing. Likewise, the treeview is cramped at the bottom
while I made it taller before closing.
- Ah, I moved the treeview, and while I haven't found a way to restore
the split view, I managed to make it tabbed with the toolbox, which is
better, after all...
- Treeview: if I right-click on .bzrignore, for example, I have choice
between various actions, like Open and View.
I suggest to add one: Edit, that would use the default editor defined
for Bazaar. That's because Windows has no open action for such file (or
other files of unknown type) and I might want something else to view (or
even edit) that file.
Note: just before installing this version, I upgraded to Bazaar 2.1.0-1
so I first tested BE 1.0.0-rc1 and had a longer complain list... You
fixed a good number of the issues I spotted. Well done.
Overall, I see lot of improvements in the UI and I haven't finished to
see everything. That's lot of criticism above, but I want to
congratulate you on your work! Keep it coming!
I see also improvements on QBzr, like replacing the OK/Cancel button
with a Close one after action.
