This seems ok, but we'll need to make sure to coordinate with the
Launchpad codehosting team. IIRC they explicitly whitelist '.bzr' and
'backup.bzr' as being allowed to exist, and expressly forbid other
filenames from being created. So we'll need to have them relax that
constraint as well as landing this patch.
