I did feel like it was worth asking... Why not use Launchpad *itself*.
I'm sure there are many projects that are worthwhile and some that
aren't already present on Launchpad. I don't think it would be an abuse
of the system to add a few more.


As for alternatives, there are things like ikiwiki and a trac-bzr
plugin, or setting up your own Launchpad instance. But I would guess
you'd be hard pressed to have an easier setup than using an existing
site. Not to mention that ongoing updates would be maintained for you, etc.
