I had the same issue (in jaunty), but assumed that it was some local setting.
I played around and figured out that this is caused by the
'content'->advanced->'minimum font size' setting in firefox.
Mine is normally set to 16, which causes worse breakage than Matthieu
is experiencing.
Changing it down to 12, makes everything render fine.

ironically wanting bigger fonts, is the reason why I'm experiencing this:)

I'm not really sure how to fix this.
I guess using that em syntax to set the width of the buttons, that
somebody complained about, would solve this.
