Why?  This is really the distros' job.  A nice service for people who
want to be on the bleeding edge, but definitely a frill IMO.  MacPorts
generally only seems to lag you guys by 48 hours or so, ditto Gentoo.

Yeah, that's a problem on Windows.  Not on other platforms, where the
users know that the PMS will take care of it.

2.4, no.  Python specifically, maybe not.  "Only requirement (and it's
bundled if you don't have it)", yeah, I think that's something you
want to say.  It says, "we care about admins, too, even if they're not
users.  We understand systems and IT departments."
