I guess you didn't realize that all of the branches on escudero are in
the same shared repository, which means that:
$ bzr pull http://bazaar-vcs.org/bzr/bzr.dev-in-1.9-format/
bzr: ERROR: Unknown repository format: 'Bazaar repository format 2a
(needs bzr 1.16 or later)\n'

I think you renamed the *branch* but you didn't actually create a
repository in the new location.

I have a copy of my old repository here, if you want me to upload it.
