1.2k revisions, and 110MB, do you have a lot of binary files in there?
Does that include doing a 'bzr pack' after the upgrade has finished?

I have the feeling that we still have a lot of room to improve the
performance of 'bzr log -v'. Still, it is nice to see that you're
already getting some of the improvements.
