Since I discovered distributed VCS, I found out that lot of programmers using DVCS love to 
travel by air and code during the journey...

If I am not mistaken, you can always make a local repository to keep some trace of the 
fixes. Although I am not sure if this local, disconnected branch can be merged back to the 
main repository. At worst, the latest state can be pushed, no?
