difftools, ‘bzr diff --using footool’, and ‘diffuse’

Aargh! No. I didn't know. Or overlooked/forgot the information.
I had difftools plugin, and was not able to run my diff tool (WinMerge) 
correctly (see 
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/595885/using-winmerge-with-bazaar and 
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bzr/+bug/336228).
I am happy to close the issue (is there a way to do this more properly 
on Launchpad?)

I fail to see the current usefulness of difftools. Shouldn't this plugin 
be moved to the out-of-date section? Unless it offers something more I 
don't see.
