OK, so looking over these failures a bit more, I think many are likely
to be fixed by the eintr fix, so retesting with 1.13.1 (or bzr.dev)
may not fix all but is likely to fix many.  I'll see if I can fix the
failure with assuming gnu diff because John's suggestion in the bug
sounds plausible.
