[MERGE] Cope with the WWW-Authenticate header containing only a single word in

The WWW-Authenticate: header sent by the server can sometimes contain just a 
single word (e.g. "Negotiate"). Such a single word currently breaks the Digest 
and Basic auth handlers. Fix attached.
