Suggestions for the generated API reference documentation

On the matter of IDE support (as a supplement to good API docs) for
Python, I've found Komodo Edit to be the best editor for Python that
I've tried so far ; it does it's best to provide a list for
autocompletion and while things like lazy_imports probably throw it a
little, it's better than a plain text editor. It even has a vi emulation
mode (which is nice but not perfect, it doesn't behave exactly like vi
for some common movements).
